The World Association of Psychoanalysis was founded in 1992, following Jacques Lacan's 1964 wager to "reconquer" the Freudian Field. Its members work together for the promotion of psychoanalysis throughout the world and support the orientation given by Jacques Lacan to the field of experience that Freud inaugurated at the beginning of the century.
